Building on the success of last year's ‘Come See Why’ campaign, which showcased the unique East Coast lifestyle, Tairāwhiti Gisborne (the Regional Tourism Organisation) is rolling out Come See Why 2.0.

This refreshed campaign features the original ‘Come See Why’ video, along with three themed video edits that target domestic and Australian visitors to come explore, experience, and taste why Tairāwhiti is the ultimate summer destination.

The Come Explore Why video encourages manuhiri to embark on a scenic road trip along State Highway 35, stopping to discover hidden gems along the coast, like the stunning beaches, Cooks Cove (Opoutama) walkway or the nine whakairo (carvings) on the Mt. Hikurangi summit. For adventure seekers, ‘Come Experience Why’ showcases the region’s unforgettable activities, from sunrise surfs to reef ecology tours with wild stingrays. Then, when it's time to indulge, visitors can check out the ‘Come Taste Why’ video. The video features the region's greatest flavours, from cocktails and gourmet pizzas at Dome Cinema to fresh seafood and paddock-to-plate dining at Tahu.

The campaign will be featured on the Tairāwhiti Gisborne website and through out-of-home advertising. Additionally, it will include features on Stuff and a comprehensive digital campaign to be rolled out on Meta and Google. This will amplify the message that there is plenty to see and do in the Tairāwhiti region.

Tairāwhiti Gisborne has also partnered with Neat Places on a new campaign that showcases the best restaurants, shops, galleries and cafes around Gisborne. Whether visiting for a day or a week, the guide highlights the ‘neat’ spots locals love and visitors won’t want to miss.
