Trust Tairāwhiti will fund $350,000 this year towards the Eastland Rescue Helicopter Trust’s (EHRT) life-saving services for the region.

This follows the Trust’s previous funding of $350,000 a year since 2017 to support EHRT operations, enabling them to invest in leading technology and equipment that has continually improved their service across Tairāwhiti.

In the year ending March 2022, the Trust Tairawhiti Rescue Helicopter flew 234 missions, with 60 percent of call-outs to remote locations north of Tolaga Bay.
