A partnership has been formed between Nāti Growth, Trust Tairāwhiti and Whetumatarau B45B to advance the growth of the East Coast mānuka honey industry. The new state-of-the-art extraction facility in Te Araroa is set to enhance sales domestically and internationally.
The Wood Processing Cluster is the Trust’s most significant direct investment, one that has the long-term potential to boost the regional economy, open up new applications for locally grown wood, and continue creating employment opportunities.
We worked in partnership with Gisborne District Council and Sport Gisborne Tairāwhiti to support the development of the Tairāwhiti Sports Facilities Business Case, which determined the high priority needs in our community, described as ‘early wins’.
As the Economic Development Agency for Tairāwhiti, the Trust is committed to growing the regional economy and can enable this through strategic direct investments. We consider investment opportunities for major projects that align with our strategic priorities and will lead to transformational impacts on the region’s economy.
